Patrick Poon joined Horizons Ventures in 2014 as a Director leading investments in telecommunications, media, and technology (TMT) aspect. Mr. Poon is also the board member/observer of 11 companies including Windward, HzO, Nanoport, Nanoleaf, Wibbitz, Nomadic, Eyeway, Meteo-Logic, Nipendo, Fleet & Magisto (acquired by Vimeo). Before joining Horizons Ventures, Mr. Poon worked with Hutchison Telecommunications for 14 years where he held a senior position in innovation and product development division. In his 20 year telecommunications career, he was granted a number of IP patents in signal processing when he worked at AT&T Wireless previously. Mr. Poon graduated with a Master of Applied Science degree in Engineering from the University of British Columbia and completed his bachelor's degree at McMaster University, Canada.
