Kevin Weil is the President of Product and Business at Planet, where he is responsible for their go-to-market strategy, bringing together Product, Software Engineering, Sales and Marketing teams to optimize alignment as Planet builds and delivers their suite of advanced geospatial products and solutions to customers. Kevin previously served as Vice President of Product for Novi, a new digital wallet for Facebook’s Libra payment system. Before joining Facebook, Kevin was Vice President of Product at Instagram, overseeing consumer, growth, and monetization products as Instagram grew from 400 million to over one billion users. He also previously served as Senior Vice President of Product at Twitter, where he led product development and design across Twitter’s consumer, developer, and monetization products. Earlier in his career, Kevin held software engineering and data science roles at Cooliris, Tropos Networks, Microsoft Research, and the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. Kevin graduated summa cum laude in physics and mathematics from Harvard University, and has an M.S. in physics from Stanford University. Kevin serves on the boards of The Nature Conservancy and Strava. Consistent with Strava’s mission to build the most engaged community of athletes in the world, Kevin is an avid ultramarathon runner, racing distances up to 100 miles.
