John Walsh is Senior Vice President of Engineering and Technical Operations for Mimecast, where he is responsible for product development and data center hosting. Since joining Mimecast in May 2017, John has scaled the engineering and technical operations team from 70 to more than 300 skilled staff to further enhance customer experiences. He has also integrated products from five acquired companies and expanded Mimecast’s product portfolio to better defend customers against email born attacks, fraudulent brand activity and compliance challenges. A seasoned executive with a nearly 30-year track record of building and scaling world-class engineering teams and IT infrastructure, John previously led Engineering and Operations for Constant Contact. Through his teams’ efforts, Constant Contact expanded its platform to support more than half a million customers worldwide. John has served as Chief Technology Officer for Tremor Video and CareCloud, and has held executive leadership positions at Saba Software, Centra Software and Avid Technology. John earned his MBA from Boston University School of Management and BS in computer science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
