Giovanni Zullo became president of Emerson India, Middle East and Africa in September 2016. In this role, he is responsible for Emerson's corporate operations, strategic development and growth in this region. Zullo joined Emerson in 1999, holding various marketing and product management positions with Emerson Climate Technologies Europe before being named to vice president of marketing and product planning for the business. In 2009, he was appointed vice president of product planning and electronics platforms for Emerson Climate Technologies Asia; soon after, Zullo's responsibilities expanded further to include air-conditioning and refrigeration marketing. Most recently, he served as vice president of marketing and planning for Emerson Climate Technologies Asia - a role he held from 2012 until his latest appointment. Prior to joining Emerson, Zullo had broad project management experience for leading European air-conditioning system manufacturer and in research-oriented positions at JET (Joint European Torus). Zullo has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Padova in Italy. He is also an alumnus of the London Business School's executive development program.
