Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility David J. (Dave) Rabe became vice president of corporate social responsibility in October 2016. In this role, he manages the Emerson Charitable Trust and the company’s community-relations activities in St. Louis. In addition, he oversees Emerson’s St. Louis campus facilities, the company’s worldwide travel and vehicle programs, and corporate sales activities. Rabe began his Emerson career in 1984, as a senior staff specialist in external reporting. Three years later, he became manager of international accounting. He then held progressively more responsible roles as manager of external reporting, manager of financial accounting, and director of accounting before becoming assistant treasurer in 1998. In 2000, he was named a vice president and treasurer. In 2015, he was promoted to vice president of financial operations. Rabe serves on the boards of a number of nonprofit organizations in the St. Louis community, including Forest Park Forever, Grand Center Inc., St. Louis Regional Chamber, Nine Network of Public Media (PBS), and Saint Louis Public Library Foundation. Rabe received his bachelor’s degree in business administration and master’s degree in business administration at Saint Louis University.
