Senior Vice President, Logistics and U.S. Retail Supply Chain at Starbucks Corporation
Carl Mount is Starbucks senior vice president of Supply Chain Operations. He is responsible for leading Starbucks supply chain operational strategy, with a focus on global manufacturing & engineering, transportation, warehousing and distribution/delivery operations for Starbucks business in the Americas. Carl also serves on the leadership team for company-owned stores in the United States. Prior to joining Starbucks, Carl was the Global Chief Supply Chain Officer for KFC Global, a division of Yum! Brands. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles with both The Coca-Cola Company and PepsiCo, supporting beverage operations in the U.S. as well as Europe, Asia and Latin America. He has extensive management consulting experience and has led teams at PRTM Management Consultants (now PwC) and Resources Global Professionals. Carl is a graduate of the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Operations Management and Information Systems. In addition, he holds an MBA from the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University. Carl sits on the Advisory Board for the Supply Chain Management programs at the University of Southern California, Arizona State University and Santa Clara University. Carl was born and raised in Latin America, holds dual citizenship, and speaks fluent Spanish. He and his wife, Michelle, live in the Greater Seattle area. Carl’s favorite Starbucks beverage is a Grande Cold Brew.
