Phil has over 25 years of experience in strategic leadership, business development and alliance management in the biopharmaceutical industry. He served in various positions at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, most recently as Vice President and Head of Business Development & Alliance Management where he was directly involved in every Vertex transaction and collaboration from July 2013 through December 2021. Phil also held positions at Bain & Company, where he advised pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. He currently mentors biotech start-ups at Harvard Innovation Lab and the Canadian Technology Accelerator. Phil currently serves on the board of directors of Scynexis, Inc. Phil holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University, where he graduated with honors. He also earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
