Atul Mistry is Chief Software Architect at Symbotic overseeing architecture, platform development, and DevOps teams, providing guidance on best practices for distributed computing and establishing a broader technology roadmap that supports Symbotic’s long-term goals. Atul is focused primarily on providing direction and the tools needed to accelerate the company’s evolution towards a scalable microservices architecture. Prior to joining Symbotic in 2016, Atul was a Principal Software Architect for Nuance Communications and was awarded a title of fellow for his contributions. His experience also includes time at DxCG (later acquired by Verisk Analytics), where he was VP of Engineering and CTO. While with TRW, he played a critical role in the architecture for the command and controls system for the semi-autonomous Chandra Space telescope. Atul has a master’s in systems engineering from Boston University and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
