Arnie VanDorenVice President, Hardware EngineeringArnie VanDoren is Vice President of Hardware Engineering at Symbotic. He is responsible for developing the physical elements of Symbotic’s product roadmap, including robots, structures and industrial automation.  He is also responsible for the progression of Symbotic’s engineering capabilities for next generations of innovations and system deployments.Arnie joined Symbotic in early 2021 and comes with extensive experience in building and maturing engineering organizations, spanning focus areas from advanced development through product development and volume production.  Prior to joining Symbotic, Arnie was VicePresident of Hardware Engineering at iRobot, overseeing a global engineering organization of 250 engineers and program managers.  While there, he led a transformation toward predictability in product development and use of advanced development to enrich the product roadmap.  Arnie also held various engineering and leadership positions at Bose Corporation over a 19-year period with experience in multiple business segments, including consumer products and automotive. Arnie received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from UMASS at Amherst where he now serves as a member of the Industry Advisory Board.
